Peperpot Nature Park is close to Sutopia Resort, where you can spend the night in a relaxed setting. ‘Peperpot’ consists of several old plantations merged to a Nature Park and reclaimed by mother nature. It consists of secondary forest with a variety of fruiting trees, dense vegetation, and many waterways. About 40% of the countries’ bird species have been observed here! The density of monkeys, birds, reptiles, and amphibians is astonishing. We can find many endemics, like the blood-coloured woodpecker, arrowhead piculet but also species such as Agami Heron. Close encounters with sloths, prehensile porcupines, squirrel monkeys and capuchin monkeys. Only through us, you can enter Peperpot Nature Park after opening hours.
This tour will be guided by an Unlock Nature wildlife guide.
We kayak through Peperpot Nature park in daylight while the guide will tell you all about the flora and fauna of the area. Around sunset we will arrive at the bird tower for a short break. As soon as it becomes dark, we will go back the same way. It will look very different in the dark as many animals that you can encounter during the day will slowly disappear and make space for the creatures that come out at night.
We will meet at 16:15 near Peperpot. As there are 2 starting points, we will share the location where we meet at least a day before the tour.
